Dr. Elizabeth Bower was born and raised in Henry County. She graduated from Patrick Henry High School and then went onto The Ohio State University to earn her Bachelor of Science in 2013 and her Doctorate of Optometry in 2017. While in Optometry school, Elizabeth was the president of her class and was highly involved with various organizations within the college.
Dr. Bower takes pride in caring for patients of all ages, but especially pediatrics and focusing on how the eyes work together (which is called binocular vision). She especially enjoys being able to help school aged children improve their eye teaming and reading ability through what is called Vision Therapy. She also enjoys fitting contact lenses and keeping her patients happy and comfortable for as long as they desire to wear them. Dr. Bower enjoys going into area classrooms to teach kids about their eyes through a program called RealEyes.
Dr. Bower was happy to move back to her hometown after graduation and currently resides near Malinta with her husband, Austin, son, Novak, and daughter, Nora. They enjoy spending time with their two dogs, Archie and Macula, going boating, and spending time with their friends and family. She is also very active with St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Hamler and Napoleon Lions Club.
